What it is
5-Amino-1MQ is a cell-permeable small-molecule inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), the enzyme that methylates and clears nicotinamide. Inhibiting it is an indirect route to NAD+ salvage, a different strategy from supplying NAD+ precursors directly.
